Located in the heart of Mt. Lebanon’s Beverly Road shopping district, we are a non-profit, educational facility that focuses on incorporating the principles of yoga into everyday life. We offer traditional Hatha yoga classes for all levels of experience. Additionally, we seek to provide an overall awareness of how we can find more balance in our day to day activities. Through programs such as “Yoga for Your Life” and a variety of weekend workshops throughout the year, we hope to educate our students on how to create opportunities for happiness and overall well-being.
The Institute’s staff includes full and part-time professionals trained extensively in the Himalayan tradition. Each teacher brings the knowledge and wisdom of these teachings as well as bringing their own personality to the structure of the classes.
Our yoga boutique carries the best variety of yoga accessories in the city. From yoga mats to net pots to hard to find books, we want to provide our students with convenient access to everything they need to meet the goals of their personal practice.
We are a branch center of the Himalayan International Institute (link) whose headquarters are located in the Pocono Mountains of Eastern Pennsylvania, a 6 hour drive from Pittsburgh, and 3 hours from New York City and Washington, D.C. Local students make use of the Pennsylvania campus for residential retreats and weekend seminars to complement their training here in Pittsburgh.
