LONG-HOLD YOGA with Susannah Azzaro

March 6 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
HI Pittsburgh

In this unique practice, we will follow the traditional Hatha class framework but do fewer postures with holds of up to 3 minutes. The body-mind relationship can be a feedback loop; when we hold postures for a longer time with the intent to be as still as possible, our minds inevitably bubble up, and we can clearly hear our internal dialogue which can be quite revealing! This practice will be grounding, stabilizing, and heating, and will prepare us for a nourishing Yoga Nidra inspired Savasana at the end. Please pre-register. 48 hour notice is required for refunds.

Teaching Workshops: Advanced Training for Yoga Instructors with Kate Mackin

March 25 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
HI Pittsburgh

Teaching workshops is rewarding to both the teacher and the student. As a teacher, you may have areas of interest that you want to share with your students that go beyond the traditional yoga class. You’ll need a little more time to explain your topic and its also important to let the students know that you will be offering more than just an asana class. Workshops can help students deepen their understanding and practice of yoga. Many are curious about creating a healthier lifestyle, how to meditate, or even why their back hurts. A workshop can offer more focus and information about the topics they are interested in. The list of topics for workshops is endless, but learning common framework for building your seminar will help keep you organized. Learn to make the most out of this time with your students and refine your teaching skills. Please pre-register. 48 hour notice is required for refunds.
